Yes, everyone on the face of the Earth has 24 hours each day, it has been that way since your were born, and will forever remain so to do what is of necessity and importance in your personal life. I have made it abundantly clear what my primary focus is in my life and how I go about attaining this for myself and clients, past, present, and future.

Hopefully, you have read my entire website, and are now at the end of what has brought me here so far. You have a better understanding of my life history, the choices I have made, as well as my recent GoingOn30 Journey started in July 2014.

If you have skipped around the menu bar from tab to tab, jumping here and there, I urge you to progress through the entire site in a linear fashion to have a better feeling for the genesis of Go30.

To recapitulate the salient points of my philosophy, and what drives Go30:

  • Weight loss and management is massively enhanced by limitless caloric expenditure (Training), rather than caloric restriction alone that amounts only to daily individual metabolic requirements  (Diet, so boring!).
  • Weight loss and management is most successful when combining Training and Diet.
  • Sarcopenia (progressive muscle mass wasting), is best limited by lifelong resistive training, ie. strength training.
  • Longevity and Quality of Life are both determined by the orientation of your daily life habits in all the decades preceding advanced age (wherever this is, or was, for you).

What is the definition of advance age you might ask? I define it as the point at which that 600 pound gorilla jumps on your back. Aches, pains, chronic fatigue, loss of flexibility, loss of muscle mass, loss of strength, coordination issues, arthritis, etc. It can be the time you realize that you now work twice as hard to get half the results. It will be different for everyone; but it will be!

How do I know this? Simply because I’ve been there, done that! I have lived the last paragraph I wrote above, and I have devised a lifestyle to combat the inevitable. Every day of my Journey, currently day 2530, I am making progress in reclaiming that exuberance I had when I was 30 and in Ironman shape, simple as that!

My life has always revolved around training of some kind, or the facilitation thereof. From Swim and Track teams in High School, to Triathlons, to choosing my living locations based on the best geography for training; I have always considered every decision in the context of physical activity of one type or aspect.

I realize there are many people who will categorically not be in a position to do, or change, what they would like to accomplish in the 24 hours allotted them. Family obligations, monetary constraints, lack of time, physical impairments, work ethics, etc., the list is endless.

Then there are those who live by the motto ‘Live fast, die young!’. I have a better motto, ‘Live fast AND live long!’, why can’t you do both? Why would anyone want to die young? Still, some will insist on the former motto, and I certainly can’t deny them that orientation. My only question then is: how young do you have to stay before you’re not?

However, there are many people that have a parallel progression through life similar to my own, and just need to read about someone who has arrested the ravages of old age in its track! These people just need to see how it’s done, and where it can possibly lead to. There also are people who may not have progressed through life as I did, but nevertheless would like to reclaim the exuberance of their 30s.

This is where Go30 and I come in. I have devised a lifestyle whereby I am now regaining strength, flexibility, performance, range of motion, motivation, and all those other parameters that are the province of a youthful body, mind, and attitude. How can you avail yourselves of this lifestyle you ask? Just read this site and my blog posts to come, contemplate what makes sense to you, then give it a try- simple as that!

My purpose here at Go30, is not to pass judgment on anyone, and certainly not to claim that my way is the only way, or even the best way! My purpose is merely to expose what I have accomplished by the methods I have used in the past 69 years to arrive where I am today.

If some, or all, of what you have read so far on Go30 makes sense to you and you want to apply some of these methods to your lifestyle, that’s great and I’m moved. If you think all you have read so far on Go30 is nothing but garbage, that’s also great, and now the rest of the internet is waiting for you to explore. Either way, you have made the right decision!

Journey well my Friends!
