Strength Running with Jason Fitzgerald.
THE PROS: Jason’s extensive running background , expertise and dedication are just some of the qualities an exceptional Coach should exhibit. His site is bursting with informative insights as well as a most supportive community where runners can communicate with like minded athletes.
Jason Fitzgerald is my kind of Runner and Running Coach. As a HS and College Runner, he displayed the thrust and dedication for running I didn’t in my school years. I knew I had more to offer, I just had no guidance to get there.
As a Coach in 2019, he imparts his knowledge and expertise in a no-nonsense fashion required to extract the maximum potential from his runners. Fortunately, I was exposed to a Coach of Jason’s caliber during my triathlon years which resulted in my 17:12 PR for 5K. This last point underlines the importance of a competent and dedicated Running Coach.
Once again, Jason’s running philosophy is directly aligned with mine and precisely what I’ve been recommending to my clients and using in my own training. I’m privileged and confident to recommend him unequivocally for your running aspirations.
Jason talks knowledgeably and from experience on all subjects having to do with successful running. Indeed, his weekly podcast at Strength Running entitled ‘Motivation’ recently exceeded 1Million downloads. Anyone with that type of reach in such a devoted and rabid community as runners, only attains such distinction by being truly helpful and authentic.
Indeed, his tagline to ‘elevate the Sport by elevating your running’ embodies his dedication and love of running. In a sport where 80% of runners experience injuries every year, his current crusade is to teach people to stay injury-free.
THE CONS: As all runners know, and would-be runners soon find out, there is NO running when injured. I’m really at a loss to find negative territory in Jason’s approach!
