TOM VENUTO: BURN THE FAT, FEED THE MUSCLE

Anyone praised by Oprah Winfery in her magazine O, deserves my attention. Oprah say of Tom Venuto: “Offering the opposite of a quick fix, Tom is honest about the effort it takes to lose a significant amount of weight.” 

Ever since I became a private trainer, I’ve used 99% of Tom’s principles for my clients , as well as my training. While Tom is a Body Builder and I’m a Triathlete, the underlying principles of weight loss, maintenance, and building Muscle are the same. When I first read Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle (his flagship book), I thought I had written it! My entire philosophy was there,  neatly encapsulated, clear and concise!

His website is also chock full of forums, supportive communities, and cutting edge informative articles like ‘what no one is telling you about calories in vs, calories out’. Tom is also not afraid, and exposes the many lies of big Pharma, the vitamin industry, and the self-proclaimed ‘fitness gurus’, many of whom masquerade as medical doctors.

To top all this off, Tom is a ‘steroid-free Body Builder’ with quite an impressive physique. Just to make sure his methods apply to everyone, there are dozens of before and after transformations of both Men and Women on his site. I’ve picked TV out a a sea of fitness gurus to endorse, not just because our philosophies are directly aligned, but because he is so honest and devoid of the hype and BS so prevalent in this industry these days. 

As he says in his book, the process of weight loss and BodyBuilding are straight forward; but that doesn’t imply they are easy. It will take some dedication and motivation to make this happen for you. Oh, but the new you will be so worth it!
