Having reached a certain ‘advanced age’, I now have the luxury of reflecting on the lifestyle and habits that have brought me here! While I, or anyone, can’t stay youthful forever, it is possible to retain the feeling forever! Further, I contend that not only can the feeling be retained, but the physical ability of your youth can be as well, (minus some of the intensity naturally)!

As you read Go30, you will discover what I have done, both by design and by chance, which has resulted in the enviable position I find myself in at the tender age of 70.

In a nutshell, GoingOn30.ROCKS’ message is to reclaim your health first, and your zest for life second, regardless of your age! This means waking up in the morning with no aches and pains, bounding out of bed excited to start your day like a little kid about to open presents on Christmas morning.

This can happen to you regardless of your age with just a bit of effort and thinking outside the box. Beyond the two priorities above, the World is your Oyster and you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.

To prove all this to you and myself, I’ve embarked on a Journey. It is no less than to regain the limitless fitness and unbridled exuberance for life I had 40 years ago. On this blog, you will read my posts about how I’m getting there on a daily basis. Perhaps this will inspire you to adapt my methods to your circumstances, should you think you might benefit.

My posts might deal with precisely what I do in a 24hour period, such as:

What I eat, how many times I eat, how I train, the type of training I do, how training and diet affect me, how much rest I get, etc; but more importantly would be why I do these things and what the results are!

Undoubtedly, there are many ways to accomplish goals. My way is not the only way; but you can’t argue with my results as the decades go on. I have certain habits, tricks, and programs I follow in order to progress along my Journey.

I’m a firm believer in endorsing only the methods and products I personally use in my Journey, have used in my career with my clients, and that directly align with my philosophy. What I endorse is what I use. As time goes on and requirements change, I’ll be introducing more strategies to solve problems for clients and myself.

Whether starting with weight loss, or not, then moving into the next logical sequence of exercise and training for you; you will be well on your way to a new you. Changing our human bodies to a better version of ourselves is a long term proposition; however, know that as our Journeys become a lifestyle, we are winning!

Because I’m so enamored with Food and rich Cuisine from many countries, GoingOn30s first and foremost mission to ‘Burn the Fat’ is dear to my heart. I’ve coached many clients to lose 100s of pounds. Those that did this changed their lives forever. I’d like to do that for you, and actually, the whole country!

As you will discover reading through GoingOn30, my addiction of choice was Triathlons, the activity that really defines my life’s orientation. Training near a professional level, but getting none of the results, my nevertheless stellar fun-filled, jet-setting, and adventure infused career came to a conclusion 22 years after it started.

Unfortunately, post those ultra active Triathlon training/racing years you’ll read about here on Go30, I got fat just like anyone else as I fell into disrepair. I had to develop a way to manage this condition without eating like a rabbit (a preposterous proposition for someone such as I), during the following sedentary 12 years that ensued.

On this blog, you’ll read about how I progressively came to my senses and started the Journey back to the unbridled fitness and love of life I used to own in my 30s. All my strategies, how I employ them, and what the results are as I apply them are found on this blog:)

It is my sincere hope that as you patiently read my Musings, Articles, and Journey on this site, it might help and inspire you to take action, even if it is in a small way. That’s important to me, and I couldn’t ask for more!

So if you’re a Baby Boomer like me born in the 50’s, or from the 90’s, the journey is all about taking that first step. This is within anyone’s grasp.
